Pet portraiture is very popular. I work from single or multiple photographs. The work produced, can be in whatever medium the client wishes. The choices are as follows:-
PENCIL; The least expensive of all the mediums and because of this, it is also the most popular.
PEN AND INK; This can be purely pen and ink work or can be combined with other mediums such as watercolour washes and pencil.
WATERCOLOUR; Generally combined with another medium such as pen and ink. It can also be in the form of washes or gouache or a combination to the two.
WATERCOLOUR PENCILS; The second most popular option and the most popular of the colour options, again this can be combined with various other media.
ACRYLIC; This medium can be used in a number of styles, either used as a series of colour washes or used in the same fashion as a piece of work executed in oil paints. The benefit of this medium is the speed at which the paint dries.
OIL PAINT;This is the slowest drying medium and work commissioned in this medium will take anything up to eight weeks from completion to dry sufficient enough to be handled.
TEMPERA; the most expensive option of all the mediums being offered. The simple reason is it is not the most easiest medium to handle and need a refined technique of execution that is completely different form any other media.
Bespoke Exhibitions and Commissions can be undertaken if enough notice is given. These can either be for private, public or corporate purposes. The most popular in this area are exhibitions in the business premises of customers. I have had big and small exhibitions held in restaurants, hairdressing salons, bookshops and coffee shops.
As stated above, I undertake Private and Public commissions. I can produce pieces of Artwork for Private individuals, Public and Private Corporations.
I Generally work from Photographs or a single photograph of the subject matter. The most popular that I have found are portraits of favourite pets and memorials of a beloved pet that has passed away. I find that working from photographs is both more convenient and cost effective for the client. The photograph is usually provided by the client, however arrangements can be made for a home visit in order to photograph the subject at extra cost.
I can give quotes for the prices of original and printed pieces of work that are on the site. Sometimes the original of a piece may not be available for sale , however high quality scans and prints are available for all work in the various Galleries.
